On October 22, 1991 Bailey Engineers purchased the Iron Oxide/Acid Regeneration Facility located in Fairfield, Alabama from US Steel. BPO operates the facility on a 7 day, 24 hour per day basis, with a staff of 21 full time employees. In December 1995, BPO achieved ISO 9002 certification. Along with processing SPL from the host facility, BPO processes SPL from other steel making facilities in the vicinity. This product is suitable for hard ferrite pigment and some soft ferrite applications. The Iron Oxide is sold in bulk, 2000 pound super sacks and 50 pound bags.
